
ProsperUS Detroit is a place-based economic development strategy designed to empower low and moderate income, immigrant and minority individuals and neighborhoods. We offer a variety of services in Detroit’s neighborhoods to empower small business owners to become community leaders and advocates.
ENTREPRENEUR TRAINING
- A proven, 12 chapter curriculum outlining the important steps to a successful business plan
- 12 interactive classroom sessions including a graduation
- 10 one-on-one sessions with a culturally competent, professional trainer
- Curriculum written and taught in Spanish when needed
BUSINESS SERVICES
- Evaluation and counseling from a business adviser for support service options for graduates and other businesses in target areas
- Flexible price structures to help entrepreneurs alleviate barriers to the next step in their business
MICRO-LENDING
- Develop and maintain honest, long-term relationships with potential and approved borrowers through flexible, risk-tolerant lending
- Business support and guidance to create the strongest loan application and lending process possible
- Eliminate barriers that often restrict the lending process to marginalized populations
